2007
XDR founded in Australia. HYDCO Engineering established the same year as XDR’s wholly-owned Indian manufacturing operation.
2010s
Patented freestanding mast — 30-minute rig-up, no guy lines. The fastest workover-rig rig-up on the market. Manufactured to API Spec 4F under the API Monogram Program.
Recent
Autonomous levelling, 80 m/min variable-hydraulic drawworks trip speed, and the first electric workover rig with battery regeneration sold into the European onshore market.

XDR is the engineering and design home; HYDCO Engineering — XDR's wholly-owned Indian operation, also founded in 2007 — is the API 4F licensed structural manufacturing facility that builds every rig in the fleet. Same executive team, same engineering, two locations.
- XDR Australia — design, R&D, the Xenon OS and IntelliBeam™ IP, customer engineering and direct support.
- HYDCO Engineering, Gujarat — API Spec 4F licensed manufacturing of masts, derricks and substructures.
- API 4F is the international monogram for rig structural design and manufacture, audited under API’s Q1 quality programme and held by a small number of facilities worldwide — a routine prerequisite for tier-1 operator tenders.
- Rigs are deployed across Australia, India, Europe, the Middle East and beyond — supported directly, with no integrator in the middle.
