The fastest workover rig in its class

The XDR 250 is the fastest 250,000 lb hookload workover rig on the planet. The patented freestanding mast rigs up in 30 minutes with no guy lines, the drawworks trip at up to 80 m/min, and autonomous levelling sets the floor automatically — no manual jack adjustment, no surveyor pass.

Built as one machine

The XDR 250 is supplied as a complete package: the rig, the Range 3 Catwalk and two Tubular Magazines — all running on Xenon OS so a single operator can run the floor, the catwalk and tubular handling from one cabin, with full black-box logging across the site.

It’s the same engineering philosophy that made XDR’s name on the toughest onshore wells — a freestanding mast that sets up in 30 minutes without guy lines, hydraulically deployed walkways, autonomous levelling, and integrated patented stability monitoring (IntelliBeam™) — scaled up to a 250,000 lb hookload class.

Why operators specify it

  • Fastest in class. 30-minute rig-up, 80 m/min trip speed, autonomous levelling — the integrated package eliminates handover gaps between rig, catwalk and pumps and drops NPT to a level no comparable workover rig matches.
  • One operator, one cabin. Xenon centralises control of the rig, catwalk and tubular magazines.
  • Compliance built in. API 4F mast (monogram option), API 16D BOP remote, API RP 505 Zone 2 — already engineered, not bolted on.
  • Direct support, no integrator. XDR engineers commission and support every rig — wherever it operates.
Features

Engineered to integrate

  • 01Patented freestanding mast — no guy lines, rapid rig-up and rig-down.
  • 02Hydraulically raised and extended mast; API 4F compliant with optional monogram.
  • 03Auto lift-capability reduction based on mast angle.
  • 04Floor Saver and Mast Overpull Protection integrated.
  • 05Dual Load Path bullhorn (75,000 lb WLL) with interchangeable 55,000 lb Sucker Rod Hook.
  • 06All walkways hydraulically deployed — zero manual lifting during setup.
  • 07Hazardous Area classified lighting with aircraft aviation beacon at the crown.
  • 08PTO-driven hydraulic power — no separate HPU required for power swivel.
  • 09Remote controls for BOP (API 16D client-supplied) and mud pump.
  • 10Rear outriggers span a 5 metre wide cellar.
